During recording, quality as well as being true to the artist, the composer and the music are important

Studio recording is very much its own art and profession. Recording strings poses numerous challenges; the musicians along with the sound engineers need to have great skills and understanding for both the genre, the instrumentation, and the production of sound.

LiveStrings has studied and performed string quartet and ensemble playing at the highest level and have partaken in numerous studio and live recordings over the past 8-10 years.

The recording of music in a studio is demanding in a very different way from performing live music on stage. During recording, the classically trained technical skills and perfectionism need to ally with time efficiency. Quality as well as being true to the artist, the composer and the music are important.

LiveStrings uses mostly written music (sheet music) when recording, but also make arrangements or freestyle if required.
